Got the Torx bits, took the MAFS off. Much to my surprise, the thing didn't have a spec of dust on it. Sprayed it down anyway and re-installed. I'll be paying close attention at stop lights to see if cleaning the IAC helps my truck to idle better. It used to start idling real rough (only with the foot on the brake) every now and then.
I haven't noticed any rough idle yet. But my CEL came on again today. Same code, IAC valve duty higher than expected. It went off again a while later. Might have to replace the IAC, not too happy about that...Damn truck is taking all my money.
Not getting a new truck till I'm out of college. Then I'm getting a year or two old Ecoboost. Or possibly a diesel 250. Stuck between the two but I've got 4 years to make up my mind...
You're a smart kid. I want a 5.0 scab/6.5 in the worst way after test driving one, but don't have the money laying around for one and my current 150 still has a lot of life left in her. but someday
