I changed my oil on Sunday. Went a little longer than I wanted, about 7500mi... I'll update the thread when I get the report back from Blackstone. Hopefully I'll have better results that last time when I went 9000mi... I switched from 5w-20 to 5w-30 this time after reading a couple posts suggesting it. It seems to have quieted the motor down and the annoying 5.4 tick is almost gone. I'd be tempted to try 10w-30 if I wasn't in Alaska with all the cold temps we get. I'm going to keep track of mpg also and have this oil analyzed in another 7k
i just switched to 5w-30 and noticed the cut down on noise. next one im going to try 10w-30 seeing as we dont get cold temps down here
