Nah. The chirping happens from the indicator just hitting the high spots on the rotor/drum. If that's what it is, the longer you let them go... the more constant it becomes. I had some start chirping 45 minutes into a 4 hour drive once. By the time that I got home to where I could change them, it was a constant squeal and I was just about insane.
haha yah that happened to me in my old jeep. i had my tools with me thought about doing them in a parts store parking lot. ill check my brakes when i get home. on the forum in class again haha #slacking
well i took the rear wheels of yesterday and its not the rear brakes. but it is defiantly coming from the rear part of the truck. my next guess is my ujoints, but ive never heard of ujoints squeaking only clunking. humm worth a try i guess. its annoying the crap out of me.
I started to mention dry u-joints but that was a wag on my part. It would be logical that you might get a chirp before the clunk.
i mean it makes sense, does it really loud during acceleration, and very quietly while i hold a speed. ill prolly do it on saturday or sunday, those are my next free days. it ujoints are not the problem idk where to go next.
i dont think it does, i would go look but im stuck in the library at my school because of a tornado warning. hopefully it cancels class at 6:30
humm that is if i have a2 piece driveshaft right? this is new territory for me, never messed with a carrier bearing before.
