How exactly is doing a SAS considered "fugging" up a truck? Especially if it's going to be one used predominantly for off-road/trail runs.
Because I don't want to use one of those for offroad. I actually plan on buying one and restoring it, then turning my newer one into a trail truck and using the classic as my DD. I know it's completely a$$ backwards from what everyone else does, but that's partially why I want to
do it man. It's different from everyone else and thats what sets it apart. Plus if someone asks, be like i got a new f150 on straight axles, bet you cant top that. bahahaaha
^^ Ha ha. Exactly man. But, I'm going to get the rear diff fixed up for now and continue to DD this truck until I can get myself to the point where I'm ready to start restoring a truck (finding one first might help too)
Ha ha. Ya that's why it would become a project on the side. And I would just buy something to work as a daily driver while it got done. But, the mechanic I took it to should be getting back to me on Monday to let me know what the diagnosis is. Hopefully not 3500 like the other shop quoted.
