So awhile ago I switched out my black column shift lever with a lever out of a 95 ish lincoln continental, just the chrome and black lever. It pops out with a pin and they interchange without touch any moving parts in the column itself. I just had to re wire my OD switch (just two low voltage wires). I did this about 8 or 9 months ago without any issues. Im just listing this as its the only thing Ive done to the column aside from disabling my door chime. I just noticed that my truck will shift out of park and into any gear without putting the brake on. I know you can select any other gears after you shift out of park without using the brake. I know there is a little lock or a click that you feel/hear when you put it in park and I am not hearing that. any help would be awesome. Some of the 150 guys might be able to help out too.

That's what I'm thinking, but I took the column casing off and it looks like everything is working as it should. It just shifts out of gear easier than it used to, plus the not locking at park issue... Hmm might have to look into it more when I get home. Sent from your Mom's house using Tapatalk
