Complete engine tune up on my womans brother-in-laws F-150

    Hmm well my issue is my trans shudders sometimes going into OD.. only if im kinda on the gas though Like after I pass someone and my RPMs are still up around 2000-2500..

    I read a Ford TSB saying the problem is trans fluid breaking down and to correct it you had to change the fluid and get ALL of the old fluid out including tourqe converter and everything or the problem would come back..

    I dont know if the trans has ever been flushed.. So what should I do..

    BTW the truck says about 248k miles but I dont know if its original engine and trans because up to now ive had no problems what so ever.. No oil burned or leaked no codes no issues at all untill now..

    Change your fluid. Ford dealers will charge you a 160 or something in that area. They'll hook it up to a pump and shoot new trans fluid threw your lines until all the bad crap is out of everything and I think they change the filter aswell. Then fill it up. :cheers:
