connect ipod/phone to radio

    hey y'all, i was wondering if it was possible to wire a cable to my radio to connect my phone to play over the radio. i got an aux switch but obviously theres nothing connected to it. i got the 6 CD radio. i just need to know if its possible and if yes, how do i get the dang radio out to connect the cable??? thanks guys

    damn looks hard to do. i guess its not as simple as pullin it out and connecting a cable....btw whats a PIE adapter

    It's an adaptor is all. Nothing to it except pulling the stereo and finding a place to run the cable out the front so you can hook your iPhone/iPod to it.

    Some of the F150s come with an AUX port on top of the dash. Mine did not even though I had the AUX button on the factory HU. I didn't see a port on the back of it when I took it out either so I guess it would have to have one of those fancy adapters as well.

    From the looks of that plug it uses RCA jacks, or at least thats what the photo of it looks like. If I get a chance I'll take a photo if one up close from the local stereo shop. I've seen one there before.

    Removing Radio
    These or 4 1/8 inch drill bits.

    Then insert into radio, you may have to push from the center outward on each pin to disengage the spring plate latches holding the radio in the dash bezel.
