Dont beat the piss out of your truck trying to find it. If its actually a problem it will come back sent from area 51
smell came back. looking to replace it maybe tomorrow or wednesday. what do yall think? i know you can pressure test the heatercore but is it really worth testing it if i can smell it? what else could cause a coolant smell when the heat is turned on?
windows started getting a foggy film on them too. getting sick from the smell of coolant lol. going to pick up a new core in about 10 minutes.
lol ive been driving with the heater off. the gf complained it was cold lastnight in the truck so i turned it on for a quick second. i dont drive around with the windows shut when ive got it turned on. that **** aint good to be smellin.
yup, replacing the heater core is a PITA, thats why i didnt do mine on my last truck i paid somebody lol
I've heard from firefighters that burning anti-freeze from a car wreck fire creates phosgene gas. Phosgene - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
i like how it said it smells like musty hay lol i just finished the job...i started at like 3. the heat pumps out really good and no coolant smell. the old heatercore had a pretty good leak in it. the install wasnt too hard just really time consuming lol. ive got like 10 extra body panel bolts lol
