We all know that you get what you pay for, right? Lets do a quick comparison. Everyone knows Recon products right? A quick look at their site shows list prices for a 05-07 SuperDuty at 450-550. The price for the custom set, $595. 2 huge differences in the 2 though - the Recons use a halogen projector, and are supplied with halogen bulbs. The Retro Shop lights use a true HID projector, and come with a HID kit designed to work with your truck.

Retro Shop lights aren't for everyone, but are for the person who wants the right equipment (HIDs in a HID projector) and wants a custom touch. Anyone else hate going to a car show and seeing the same headlights on all of the trucks? ;) And Retro Shop backs there products before and after the sale .

You wont find many prices listed as these are "custom" and made per your request . Each set is a different price according to what options you want in the build .

I understand the concept of you get what you pay for. And I'm sure the quality is fantastic. But a lot of people aren't going to shell out 600 for headlights.

Dave, is that price with the projectors, ballasts etc all included? And what brand/sizes are offered/used?

A lot of people do, though. There are HID retrofitters all over the internet and they are all in the same ballpark on price.

When you figure in the time that it takes to dismantle the headlight, install everything and get it all sealed back up... the biggest majority of the price is labor. It is not a quick or easy process.

You're also trashing a sponsor/vendor in his own section.

For one where did I trash a sponsor at? All I did was say the lights were kind of expensive and I left it at that. Dave is a great guy and has helped me out on prices numerous times.
