I'm going to be cutting up my heads for my Mini H1 retro soon(ish) and plan on doing a couple other things while they're opened up. The entire headlight is going to be blacked out, including the shroud and stock reflector bowls. I want to take some single row led strips and fill in the 3 lines above the turn signal, and maybe add an angel eye circle to the turn signal pod also. Does anyone know if they make amber/white led strips? or angel eyes? It'd be pimp to have them all switchbacks, but if not I'll just get all ambers.

not sure about the switch backs... Somebody could build you some. It takes a little bit of wiring and a small IC.
A quick search for switchback LED strips came up with this White/Amber 24'' / 60cm 60leds Audi Style Sideshine Switchback Led Strip Light on eBay! You may be able to find better quality/ less expensive with more searching The Retrofitsource is releasing new xB led strips soon, they are superbright but Im not sure if the have an amber option

If you get the led strips I would tint them if O was using them in a headlight They aren't all the noticeable but it would bother me in a headlight, I use the same style for bed lights and the are more then bright enough to tint
Realistically how bright would something like that be? If you can only see them when it's dark that kinda defeats the purpose IMO
I think like my switchbacks they'd be for looks, he wants teh cool looking headlights yo. You sure you want to go with a mini H1? much easier to retrofit but you sacrifice actual output.
