    the glow plug controller on those often fails before the glow plugs themselves. We replaced several on the 6.0s at the shop I used to work at. Other than a GP or GPC issue, it could be the HPOP going bad. If it's got some wear on it anyway, colder weather and the resultant thickened oil could cause problems with the injectors firing correctly until its up to temperature.
