Just did the headlight switch as proof of concept - which did require soldering longer leads onto the T10 LED, and wrap them like the old bulb. Looks GREAT (be careful to try it more than once, as polarity is not indicated, so if it doesn't work on the first try, rotate the bulb assembly 180 degrees. I just guessed right. LED (cool white) was about $2 each on average (I also ordered 194's for the gauge cluster). They are worth it!

Completed LED swapouts, and the results are as follows: Gauge cluster was left unmodified, so it still had the blue film. Cool white LEDS now display ice blue - like Supercrewzn's paint! Temp panel went the same. Headlight switch panel did NOT have the blue film, so it's cool white, which I will leave alone, until I decide on a new head unit, which nowadays can be adjusted to match any color. Forgive image quality, or lack thereof - it was done with a phone. The temp panel matches the gauges more closely than the photo shows. Light switch panel was a joy (OK, curse words deleted). But, cool white is still better than the DARK it was, since bulb was blown.

You can get them in a lot of 10 (that's how I got my 194's), so shipping was only a buck more than a pair. eBay has thousands of listings for the same part, probably from the same supplier, so look for a "bulk" deal (some will combine shipping, and have a calculator for it - and others will charge you as if you made 10 separate orders - the Bastards!). I used 5 194s for the gauge cluster, 2 for the temp control, and 2 more for the doors. One spare.
