Difference between 4x4 & FX4

My truck with a bench seat and column shifter has an arm rest console that holds a bunch of crap.

 

I'm just going to have a look at each interior of the FX4 and 4x4 to decide. MixedBreed had a console that was a fold down but his is bench seats.

 

I like the interiors of the FX4s more than my XLT. And you get skid plates with the FX4, i'm not sure what was different with the gearing though.
