Does anyone got any suggestions on draining full tank of gas thats 5 years old. Its a 34 gallon tank. Its on my 88 Chevy 1500 long bed.
Beating on it and the stabilizer is an option no doubt, but it that don't work the only thing I can suggest is pumping it out with a syphon.
Maybe this way!
YouTube - How to Siphon Fuel Gas with a Drill Pump
OR you can remove the bed and take the pump out, that way you can get the old gas out. I'm sure after 5 years it's not completely full still.
use a hand pump like you use to transfer kero. or they do make explosion proof pumps
Lol... If you aint familiar with the ol fashioned syphon trick just keep the end of the hose lower than the fuel level you wanna reach (full drain hold it lower than the bottom of the tank) gravity will take care of it... I effectively drained my tank on my ol girl this way in about 5 min, 15gal
