Lmao. Ill just pour ferric chloride down in the cylinder. That should fix me up....Jk... I want to do this myself and I just want to make sure if there's a few small metal shavings that happen to fall in the cylinder if that will hurt the engine any. Like I said. I was told a few small ones won't hurt anything because they will either burn up or eject out of the exhaust ports. I just want confirmation on that before i start messing with it. Just in case I can't get them all out by greasing up the tap and blowing it out really good.

Ok. Do you think this is something I could do? All the shops I've called want like 300 just to install it. I'd rather save the money

Sounds pretty easy. Just gotta be careful. Take my time. I think I'll give it a shot. None of the shops will give any type of warranty or guarantee anyway. They don't know if they will be able to get all the shavings out either. They said they could get pretty much all
Of them but for that reason they can't guarantee it. Plus this isn't really a great fix. They would rather replace the whole head. That's another reason they won't guarantee or warranty it. I think I'll take my chances

hahaha them shops just want $$$$.

get the tap kit, follow the directions, vacuum the shavings out and blow them out of the engine by starting it up and giving it a little gas.

i have had no trouble with my heli coil/timesert....whatever the hell i put in there:lol2:

take your time and get it done man!
