    Read some more on this sound, some say it's the VCT solenoids,
    read some say it's the chain tensioners leaking down.

    The two different seals 3L3Z-6C535-AA has an offset design.
    the 7L1Z-6C535-AA has a straight thru design.
    Guess you won't know till ya look at it?

    looks offset to me? :shrug:

    has the part number stamped right on the seal, imagine that. first one it is.
    I still need to know if this will fix the rattle for sure or if it's something else.

    It should quiet down the ticking at the very least. Won't know if that's what is causing the rattle or not until you replace them. At least the 04-06 are easy. 07-08 require you to take the valve cover off....:facepalm:
