having some tire trouble with the truck i can't decide on...right now the truck has the kelly safari AT 265/70/17 tire and its a good tire no problem in the snow but it doesn't look aggressive..during last snow storm i had a blow out so i put my spare tire the goodyear wrangle 265/70/17 on and its been on there for few weeks. my question is should i just uy three more wrangler tires and save the 225 on another tires or get 305/75/17? how much bigger would the 305/75 be then the 265/70. i know width will be wider but how much taller?

just a thought, you can try finding tires online that are cheaper and take the price to your local tire shop and see if they will match price.

I did this with my rims, found them on tire rack and discount tire matched the price. might not be a whole lot of difference but something is better than nothing.

you have to look at what its going to cost to ship those tires as well and factor that into your tire price since the tire shops don't charge you shipping.

also if youre looking at new tires and wheels tire rack mounts and balances for free and ships the tire combo to your door.

There are a couple tires out there that are a 285/75R17.

    305/75 = 33.8x12
    285/75 = 33.8x11.2

    295/70 = 33.3x11.6

    285/70 = 32.7x11.2

    265/70 = 31.6x10.4

So the 285/75 and 305/70 are the exact same height, but the 285 won't rub as much since they're nearly an inch narrower. Either way you'll be gaining 2" of tire and 1" of lift :peace:

If I have a 2" suspension lift and 3" body lift will the 305 or 315 tire rub
