So I never use my CD in the truck. Well I went to load up CD today and was getting errors displayed. So I ejected the 1CD I had in the deck. That actually took a few tries to eject. I know, why would I try and load up a disc if I was just getting errors? Cuz I wanted to bang this new disc in the truck system. Now that disc is stuck but the deck says there is no cd. anyone else have a problem similar to this? How did you resolve? Any insight would be helpful besides the obvious of just getting a new deck. Thanks!

I've heard that those 6 disc cd players constantly break... I think u'd prolly be better off getting a new single disc radio.

Take the negative battery cable off or pull the radio fuse for a few minutes to reset the 6 disk cd.
Then reconnect and try it so see if it "sees" the lost CD.

You will lose any saved memory in the vehicle.

I dont think it's the reader cuz it's ejecting/loading was the issue. I may have 'convinced' the disc to load but that was after 5 tries. Oh well I was thinking about a new DVD deck. Still wanna try to resolve if I can.

My sister's 02 sport trac did that too. I ended up having to reach into the changer with a couple knives to grab hold of and remove the disc.

I wouldn't try playing any more cds... Lots of guys at f150online have the 6-disc that broke and swallowed all their cds, no ejecting or playing. I bought one used last summer and had the same issue. It would read ERROR and wouldn't recognize any cds...

You're better off getting a new headunit.

The problem with the 6 disc is the plastic gears that move the changing mechanisms, they get brittle and break, no way to get a replacement either, you can buy the changer mechanism but not the gears. My factory one broke, hoping my replacement unit doesnt do the same.
