    replaced the factory one last year when it went out, so around 7 years

    Got 3 years on my factory battery, running 2 years on my Optima Red Top now.

    i honest to god had the factory battery in mine till 2 years ago so 13 years its a 97 f150 but some douche hooked his jumper cables up backwards and fried that my alternator my remote wire to my gauges for the alternator etc..... but swear to god my dad bought the truck new i bought it from him and still had the factory battery

    Lol I believe it was. It was pretty crusty and when I first bought that thing. The guys at ford said it was original :shrug: lol

    Y'all southern boys and girls need to remember that its HOT where y'all live. We don't have heat like y'all do we can't fry an egg in the shade.

    heat doesnt effect battery life. COLD effects battery life. makin the engine do those deep cold cranks all winter long takes a big toll on the life of a battery. i was a yankee before a rebel mind you all.

    :hmm: i think im confused then. i thought most of the 5+ year people were southern folk. i remember when up north i could get maybe 3 yrs out a battery.
