I need a new catback exhaust for my 05 stx super cab 4.6. Was wondering if people had any favorites or which exhaust systems to stay away from. Thanks.

I like MBRP alot. Not sure what type of sound you are looking for but they have been good on my trucks.

I had a flowmaster super44 on my 02. Sounded great with the 5.4. I ended up cutting it off and ran no muffler, I loved the sound better than with a muffler!

Not sure how much different the 4.6 would sound though.

I like my Magnaflow. This is the 5.4 but still...gives you an idea.

To OP, it is really depends on the sound you want. I personally like the deep tone of Magnaflow. If you want something louder, Flowmaster is one good option.

Again. Brands have options. It's not Flowmaster vs Magnaflow anymore. Look @ the websites. What's your id size? Length of body? Round, oval? Flow through or baffled.

Or just come here & answers can be found ;)

Yeah mine is the only thing they made for my vehicle as a full cat back kit. Don't know anything about the muffler itself other than being a 3 inch, straight through design sized and shaped about the same as OEM. The tubing itself is obviously also 3" and mandrel bent. Pretty sure everything they make is bent that way.

The OE stuff really sapped a lot of grunt in the name of quietness for the old people and snobs who originally bought these things. I didn't put an intake or anything else on the motor and it really takes off now.
