That law will half to be updated soon, think about all the folks getting rigid light bars, you could have one of them on ad easily be brighter than any other 2 aux lights. Lol J.Wal
werd. and i agree. not all cops are ****ty man. i was wrong to say that. i have some close family friends that are very good cops. and yea the law was no more than 4 i guess lol but it aint clear and me as a civilian could not find it. and like i said the poor judge couldnt either but i was wrong, im not pleading my case. im sure being a cop you deal with a bunch of young punks, no doubt about that. the ones with the terrible attitudes and bad mouths. op just do what you can to make that cop happy. and i guess look over your state laws. thats what ive been telling everyone. you gotta think us with big fancy trucks stick out more than the average joes car.
they should have a candle power law. atleast we do...can remember the number though. i foud our law in michgian, i forgot after i got the ticket i contacted the state police and they emailed me the law According to the Michigan Vehicle Code, "(5) When a motor vehicle equipped with head lamps as required in this section is also equipped with auxiliary lamps or a spot lamp or any other lamp on the front of the motor vehicle projecting a beam of an intensity greater than 300 candlepower, not more than a total of 4 of those lamps on the front of a vehicle shall be lighted at a time when upon a highway.
cool thanks j wal. ya an i always try to be polite an respectful to police but when this guy came up to my truck, frankly he was an ass****. Which just pissed me off. I have had experiences with other cops that were awesome and nothing but respect for em. If this guy wouldve been more polite and respectful about the whole thing then i wouldnt have cared but him being an a** bout it i thought was totally uncalled for. So im not disagreeing with you im just saying there are some cops out there that are ridiculous.
It's all good bro, I know it wasn't personal, but I take my profession seriously and speak for myself and defend the ones that are good. At the agency I am at we have arrested 1 officer a week, due to them dining criminal activity. To me that should show that we are not sweeping this under the rig, hiding it or acting like it ain't there. We are fighting it head on and trying to weed out the ones that make us look bad. J.Wal
geez thats a crazy number. Yea thats good, cause i know ive dealt with some officers that were awesome and actually treated me like a person and then this guy who just treated me like shat. I know it seems stupid but it only takes one to leave a bad impression
agreed. shoot ive been pulled over for speeding a couple times. one cop stuck out though. the guy got out of his car, walked up to my truck and asked me why i was going so fast in a very respectful tone, he caught me off gaurd lol. he said dude slow your roll, we both laughed. he still gave me a ticket, which i was doing wrong, he was nice enough to drop it to 5 over instead of 10 too. i told the guy to have a nice day and he did the same. J.walls right, they aint all bad.
I'd get some bushwhackers locally. Those fenders don't look bad, but it's $300 shipping... And you can't have wheels that stick more than 1/2" (i'm pretty sure) past your fenders up here
Here's the statutes on lights for Alaska So as long as you didn't have more than 4 lights on that weren't shining in his windsheild, you should have been ok...
