fixed it...kinda

My tailgate hasnt been able to open since october, and it hasnt really bothered me til now (brake lights went out and to get to two of the screws that hold my taillight in has to have the tailgate opened)


it turns out the plastic piece that holds the rod in place on the latch/handle broke...got it in there for now til I can afford the fix it properly

 

Right on dude

 

Now if only I could buy just the plastic piece that is broke...

Our Advance Auto Parts has one that is a package of assorted types, yellow, blue, black, gray and clear. I think there is 6-8 clips in one package.

I think he is my bro in law had that happen to his Cheby lol dumbass broke both his tailights trying to get his tailgate down and when I got there I showed him the screws from the inside. That's a Cheby owner for you

 

Lmc truck should have that piece, dont know how much that would cost from them though. Or rockauto

Yep...the only way I found it in the parts store is with the rod also and it's 30 bucks
