Looking at doing front suspension work and want a set of Camburgs or Icons, but then I found these. Ball joints and 3 grease zerks per side, for $250. Too good to be true? Silver Upper Control Arm for Lift Kit ¦ Ford F150 04 14 2WD 4WD Free Shipping | eBay
those are uniballs dude. youll either need a crush sleeve, or a tapered sleeve to fit the bolt into the tapered hole in the spindle. Also will need the grade 8 bolt that goes from the uniball to spindle.
looking again, they have the tapered sleeve and bolts. youll need to make sure theyre grade 8 hardware. If your balljoints are maxed out these are a good replacement as the uniball has a higher amount of angle it can turn to compared to a balljoint. Also need to make sure the uniball is rebuildable, usually it just takes a C-clip.
Had a buddy that ran those off brand uniballs and he didn't like them. said the entire lining around the uniball came aprt and let dirt and mud inside. As far as suspension goes, you get what you pay for.
anything load bearing or that if it broke could seriously tear up my truck or me, I never use no name stuff. Just not worth the risk.
Possibly a much cheaper substitution to Camburg/Icon Uniball Control Arms? - Page 9 - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans This thread has a couple guys who got them and haven't had any trouble yet. and like Danny said, if the Uniball goes out, I'll get a new one.
