No unless your talking about the Light duty f250's then yes they are the same.

well lets just go with the info i am trying to look for without searching 100s of forums as i have been doing for past months with little to show lol.

I am currently resident in San Jose, CA
The emission laws here are ridiclious, I am wanting to convert my 4.6L V8 to a diesel and want to start the swap slowly for when the time comes it will be quick and less work.

First step is my front suspension is already SASed and 2.5in king coil suspenion and stiffer coils is if needed. Also by the time i will also have king bypasses paired with those coilovers up front.

Now for the emisssion laws, I have heard that converting to diesel is not allowed and I think i will be able to pass this up as long as the Police authority's dont catch me and send me to a refree. Now the thing i will not be able to is that the engine swap has to be same year or newer. I have an 2002 f150 XLT.

Now the question is if any of you guys can help, what engine do u recommend. What engine will fit? Pretty much any info or opinions you can give thanks!

Yes, the cummins is the way to go but will be hard with the emission laws in the area.

The 4bt is too small for my liking in a swap

My option I would have to go would be the 5.9L ISB cummins which with intercooler and turbo, i believe i do not have the space for it to fit in the engine bay....

Any one have info for this swap ^

Plus still looking on other such as a powerstrok, duramax ect.
