It's been a while since I've posted anything on here but everytime I do I get good answers so I figured I'd post another question for you guys. I found a deal on Craigslist for a 96 f250 powerstroke, it is an extended cab and has 240,000 miles. It is incredibly clean other then a nice dent in the bed. They're asking 1200$ because there is a "crack along one of the freeze plugs" so my question is, is this a good deal? Could this crack be fixed with a new freeze plug and some mig welding skills? I am a high school student who could weld the crack easily at school but is it worth my time and even weldable? Thanks guys!

If the plug is cracked, you can replace it. If the block is cracked, you need a new engine.
