So I went to fill up the truck this morning, and when I was done, I started the truck up and the fuel gauge didn't move. By the time I got to work it has moved up to a half a tank.

The float that controls the gauge is part of the fuel pump right? I can't replace that separately?

I would put a few more tanks through it before replacing. The 250 did the same thing one day. Took it 24 hours to get back to the full line. But the next tank it was fine. Hasn't done it since.

I read a sulfur build up could cause an inaccurate reading as well.

Theres one other thing that causes that. if you leave the key on while fueling up it doesn't reset to where it should be. Next time you fuel up make sure your keys are out of the ignition and see if it happens again
