Fuel gauge problem help

    Lately when I put a full tank of gas the gauge doesn't go up. It stays before the line even though it took a full tank of gas. Is that a bad sensor or bad gauge?

    Do you leave the key on while filling up? My truck does the same thing if the ignition is on.

    Nope truck off and key out. It's weird bc as I posted this I filled up to the point where gas was spilling out a little and it read full
