so i went to walmart tonight to get a few things and when i got back home to park the truck in the driveway i could not get the truck to go into park. the gearshift is way loose and the indicator is off from where it really is. can't say i truly got it in park just braced it to the curb so it won't move for the night. anyone got any ideas?

my dads truck did that, and we thought it was the linkage underneath but it was also some sencer, cause when we put his in park it would go in reverse, lol, but he has the center shifter, the dealer charged 400 for repairs

well i got it worked out this morning. last night i couldn't see anything but this morning walked out in daylight and one of the torex screws was laying on my floor mat. so off my big butt crawls underneath my dash and put it back in. nothing like big hands in small spaces. but got it all lined up, tighten other screw up cause it was loose and booyah it's back to good. actually thinking back i can say that it has been loose for a long time and surprised it took this long for something to happen. i will do a writeup later today with pictures and everything. thanks guys for the help and encouragement.
