getting a rattling sound under my truck under load...

    Ive been getting a rattle from somewhere under my truck, (somewhere in the front) and havent figured it out yet. When my truck is under load, as in going up a hill or getting ready to downshift, i'll start hearing a fast paced rattle. Like BB's rattling around in a metal can almost. It hasnt gotten any worse, or better. Any ideas? I can't feel any vibrations.

    The heat shields didnt seem to be the problem. I couldnt get them to make the sound. It has 115k miles. I'm still stumped.

    115k is new cats time. Soon your performance under wot from a dead stop will start to underperform due to the clogging of the cat. Get some high flow Gibsons and you'll be right again. I'm ordering some soon as I'm at 115k as well.

    I've been having the same noise mine ended up being the bolts that connect the sway bar to the control arm..

    Their suppose to have rubber bushings but mine were pretty much gone letting the washers and bolts bounce around

    my one of my cats rattle like crazy, close to the sounds your describing.
