I agree. I haven't cared much for Rangers since they changed em in 98. I still like the pre 98 bodystyle the best. 97 Extended Cab with a 4.0 would still be a killer little Ranger IMO.

I've had at least 15 rangers. There dang good trucks. I hope they come back with a mid size 4 door along the lines of a New Tacoma :peace:

That honestly wouldn't surprise me at all dude. Especially with the Euro Ranger making the noise it's making overseas.

Like I said earlier, I think it will return within 10 years and be successful. :peace:

    The F100 was scrapped.

The F150's with a V6 are getting as good or better mileage than the Rangers and were way outselling them to boot. Like was said earlier, for the price you may as well get the full size. There wasn't much difference.

I really like the older rangers, 80s and up to 92s. I would love to have an old ranger 4x4 shortbox manual. I almost bought one before I got the truck I have now, it was a 92 i believe, it ran good and was in rly good shape for the year and being in michigan, but the damn dealer wouldn't come down from $2500 and it was a $1500-2000 truck. I was willing to pay more than it was worth just cuz I always wanted one, and I needed a vehicle quick, so I offered $2300 cash and they wouldn't bite. I drove pry a little over an hour to go to this small dealer, and they denied my offer. Then the next day he calls me back and said he'll take $2300 for it and I said Nope, sorry, you wasted my time yesterday, i'm not driving there again, good luck with your sale.

My stepdad bought a 88 Ranger 4 banger for 400.00 earlier this month. Runs and drives great. Just needs some paint and seat covers. Hard to beat for 400.00

i miss my old 96 ranger. great truck and had way too many good times in that thing. it would take a beatin and keep on ticking down the road like nothing happened. sad day for sure, but it was bound to happen.
