ill hold on to it for a while and try to find a mounting system that doesnt involve door jams lol.

on the other hand i still love my 97, even if it doesnt have 4 doors, or a ranch hand compatible bumper haha

Well you could always get the full bumper replacement! Then you really would be unstoppable!

I know how you can mount it!!! make a simple chase rack mount and bolt it to it...like this:

do you have an over the rail toolbox? if so then you can either use angle iron and go on the outside of the box or at the front like a headache rack, go up the C-pillar then have a piece that goes across and have holes and possible two pieces of tube that go to the front of the cab and across then bolt it to that. if you do it right it shouldnt hit the cab flexing or jumping.

or make a simple bed cage that uses DIY shock mounts to the bed bolts then tube to the front and up.

on my truck, I want to get an inbed toolbox and use the bed bolts and DIY shock mounts to make a cage to bolt my toolbox/ maybe some ammo boxes and go up to attach a chase rack with my LED light bar. its all bolt on which is the nice thing.

if you dont understand any of my concepts just send me a PM and i can explain it further.
