I haven't been able to use my CD player for awhile now. I figured I'd try to put a CD in it to test it out. Well that was a mistake. So I put the CD in the first slot (6 CD system). Nothing plays and it says on the screen the CD has an error. So I try to eject it only the little door opens up and then closes. Normally it would open and send the CD out. It won't do that. So when I tried to load another slot with a CD the door opens but then closes again (no CD) in it and that also says error.

    So what should I do?

At the moment I can't afford to fix it until after my trip but I still wanted help or opinions. I'd ask my ex boyfriend to help but he only works on Toyota's.

    Thanks for the suggestions..

don't load more CD's in there unless you want it stuck like the first one.

and it's time for a new CD player or upgrade to the new fancy technology they call MP3 players now.

    Is there a reset button?
How about disconnecting the constant power
wire for 5 minutes then reconnecting?

Try what Joe said, if that doesn't work go drop $130-$150 on a decent head unit. There's a ton of nice ones in that price range that are honestly better than 99% of the factory crap companies use.

Give the dashboard a smack when the door opens, and dont be gentle, its already broken ha ha. The slots on the 6 disc systems get stuck, it's very common. It needs replacing, but at least you might get your cd back.

I did this on my dads 02 PSD with the 6 disc. It may work, I may not. Sometimes it will jar the slots loose and eject your cd.

I will look to see if there is a reset button. I also do not know how to disconnect the constant power wire or where to find it. :boxed:

I wish one of you guys were close by to install it for me. The installation is going to be the expensive part. :(

Can you recommend a system brand with in that price range that Damon mentioned.
