So I think this all has to do with my HIDs.. #1 After installing the HIDs my SES light came on and wont go off.. Ive tried reading the DTC codes with my SCT but it says no codes found.. I even tried clearing the codes anyway but it still wont go off.. #2 A couple days ago I jumped someone off when I hooked the jumper cables up my headlights came on by thereself even though the switch was off.. even after I turned my truck off they stayed on so I tried flipping the switch back and forth but that didnt help.. finally i flipped the highs on and the lights went off.. Now every once in awhile when I start the truck up the heads come on or when I turn my lights off the heads stay on and the only way I can get them off is to turn the truck of and flip the highs on and then off.. WTF is going on?? Oh and on a unrelated note... I think my AC compressor is about to lock up... FML...
Might sound stupid but do you have all the correct parts with everything wired correctly? There should be a relay with a ground and a wire to the battery (with a fuse). Other two wires from the relay go to the ballasts. I'm not too electrically inclined but it almost sounds like the relay could be acting up. Sent from my Milestone X using Tapatalk 2
definitely sounds like a short. and i feel ya bout the AC. I dont have mine working now cuz i need to replace an o-ring/ wont hold a charge, keeps blowing off. good luck on the HIDs.
ya probably a short. my controller is shot and I think the bulbs are gettin old (ive had em for almost 4yrs) so im thinkin about just goin back to regular halogens since my LED fogs are super F*ing bright anyways I dont need foglights lol
Damn well ill have to check this weekend to see what's goin on.. you guys think a short would make the SES light stay on with no codes??? Sent from my HTC EVO LTE using Tapatalk 2
