What do you guys think? Pulled the badges off and painted them. They're not mounted yet.

Wanted to do a black trim with red lettering but ran into 2 problems, 09-10 emblems are 1 piece and my paint code can't be mixed. I would have to hit the dealer.

 

The black looks alright. Have you thought about getting 2 piece ones, and smoothing/wrapping the inserts in a vinyl close to the paint color?

I'm just afraid of trying to match it and have it not even close. I mean, if there's no touch up on the market in a spray can and the local automotive paint supply store isn't able to mix it...I did think about getting the 2 piece emblems and just painting them the same exact red that's used on the "FX4" emblems so I guess wrapping it wouldn't be much different.

 

could look for swatches to get the color close. I honestly think if you can get it really close, having the black border will help balance it from looking too off color.

 

Haven't checked my local vinyl shop yet.

Got the emblems on but will have to get pics tomorrow.

Got a little project for the 2010.

With profit sharing and taxes coming in, I'm buying some new parts.

Trying to see what I gain power wise with an 80mm (only 5mm bigger than stock) throttle body to go with my cold air intake, coming tomorrow, JBA headers, ordering a lockout kit from livernois (might head up there tomorrow, they're only 20 minutes from me), having them custom tune for the CAI, 80mm throttle body and headers.

I'd also like to add a set of 4.56 gears to the list. I can get some them for like $170 on Amazon with free shipping. Just need to know what involved for the install.

Only spent $260 on the throttle body, headers are about $450, lockout kit is $699 unless they cut me a deal and gears are around $200 a set. Custom tune is like $200.

 

Got my ditch light mounts in from some offroading company that I can't remember the name of haha.

They're for the Raptor so I have to do some fitting.

 

Set them up.

 

Just need to wire them.
