ive been wanting to clean up my wires for all my aux circuits in my engine bay. i want to run the power wires for the relays to a fuse panel instead of my battery post, its looks messy. im having a hard time deciding where i should mount the fuse panel though. wondering if yall had any good ideas. heres the panel im going to buy, i already have one of these in the cab for interior accessories. Amazon.com: Bussman 4 Posistion Fuse Block 15600-04-20: Automotive heres some pictures of what it looks like right now. everything will be tightened up and put through wire looms. just gotta figure out where to put the fuse panel. all my wires to the switch are ran through the passenger door. the reason i ran them this way instead of through the plug on the drivers side is because i didnt want wires running over the engine. this may be changed as well again depending on where the panel is mounted. thanks for any and all suggestions guys and gals!
i like the one on the left that will circled...wouldnt be too far away from your relays or battery either
not a bad idea on either. im wondering if theres enough room by the factory fuse box to tuck the new one behind it. id like to hide it as best i can. guess ill have to go check it out. either choice would allow me to shorten all the wires and move the wires from the pasenger door and put them through the plug in the firewall. the one on the left would give me easy access to the panel too even though i would like to hide it a little bit but its no biggie.
will do. just gotta go pick up the panel and get to work. not sure when ill start to tackle it, maybe sunday. i would tomorrow but im actually going to work its almost time for me to get off unemployment and start back to work for the spring/summer. ill be sure to post up pics as i run through it. i gotta get some supplies first, i need some Rosin core and mabe some tape and the panel.
i didnt forget about this lol i just picked the fuse block up a few minutes ago. i hope i can start getting this worked on this week. im actually starting to work a few days this week since the weather is starting to warm up. heres the block it mounts with 4 small screws.
