there is a ford aerostar running around here that is just like that, what makes it even better is he has mudders on the rear
My buddy had an 85 just like this one. It was bagged, shaved and had a diesel in it. He put a diesel from a 82 model in it. It had stacks about 1.5 feet above the bed. I gotta find a pic of it.
Hell yeah man. His truck originally had the z24 gas motor but it was toast. He pulled a 2.2 non turbo diesel from a wrecked 82 he bought and swapped it in. He had to fab EVERTHING from motor mounts to radiator support. He had to swap gauge cluster, wiring harness and everything else. Oh and he swapped from auto to manual trans. He had to make a spot for the clutch mast cylinder in the firewall, fab pedals, and tranny mount. He had a ton of work in it but the untrained eye would have never known...
