I found this site through the powers of TapATalk. Had a devil of a time finding the regular computer version of the site though. :batman2:

I am a retired Ryder Truck mechanic and was working on a friends 99 Ford Ranger which has been sitting for a year and thought maybe there was a Ford forum on here. I already belong to the GMT 400 forum but I have a 1976 F150 with a 1963 300 hp 390 out of a 63 Ford Fastback car. I rebuilt the engine before I put it in my F150 and it still runs. Rebuilt the C6 also. It has a 3.00 9 inch rear gear.

How does that 3.00 gear feel with the 390 ?
My 1974 F100 360 2V seems to tall rear gear wise.
