How Many V10 Lovers Out There?

    Uh we get fairly decent gas mileage 15 highway and 13 city. Our last hauling trip we got 11 all highway.

    yea theyre nice, we just have an ongoing joke about v10s cuz some people on here *cough cough* bigun think theyre gods gift to the auto industry :jester:

    they are powerful trucks but not the worlds most powerful engine. I think it is cool how they have them in the F550s and bigger now. But there are other engines more powerful. We have one because diesel is to expensive and don't have the needs for one.

    Sorry, nothing against a V10, but if I were personally buying an SD, it's diesel or no go. I've driven V10's for my previous job. We had several of them in our fleet. They were okay, but when paired with 4WD, the fuel mileage was awful compared to the PowerStrokes we had, and didn't deliver the power the PowerStrokes did. The company kept all of them for a year and ended up trading them in for PowerStrokes.

    Powerstrokes are good engines I would buy one but not right now no need for it. Plus I could never get rid of the V10 I love it alot works hard produces power needed and is 4x4. Nothing against diesels but my buddies 03 F350 4x4 lifted 4 inches 35 inch tires (regeared don't know what to though) 6.0L diesel gets the same fuel mileage as our 02 F250 V10 4x4 stock with a few mods.

    we have a 2wd v10 at work and it chugs gas like its saturday night :jester:

    That is something I think is strange about our V10 it is pretty good gas mileage for a 8000lb+ truck. Like I said with the mods we have we get 13 city 15 highway and 11 towing. Which really isn't to bad really. But hey our truck is chipped (Bully Dog) exhaust is Banks Stinger and we are higher in elevation (in the mountains). Like I said I like all Ford engines as long as they don't break down every 5 minutes.

    well shoot, i like every engine that doesnt break down every 5 minutes :jester:
