ok problem. plugged the map lights back in and they stay on. did i cross a wire? its on when the keys arent even in. and i cant click them off? I tapped 1 of the black wires. thanks!
N thank you Darth.I like to take credit for his work and i gave him the confidence to do this job after i would rag on on him on the other forum,hahahaha You still got that problem?I made that mustake also the when i did my cab lights.It was a wire crossed.But wait a minute,the black isnt always a positive in the dome light wires is it?I ask because i thot i pluged into a taped into a diferent color wire?Hmmm.
Map light issue resolved. There are 4 wires in the map light pigtail: 2 colors w/ stripes, 2 black. I assumed the 2 blacks were grounds, wrong. 1 black is from the dimmer that allows you to turn them on as such. the other is the ground. The 2 colors are hots that are only engaged when you click the lights on or off. Hope this helps others when they go to wire. You could also tap the hot into that black that is from the dimmer since it is a constant hot source. Thanks again for all the cudos. I highly recommend this mod to anyone on the fence. took me 4 hrs, and that was goin half ass.
