I had a set of the old sealed beam KC Lights that burned the bulbs out a while ago. I upgraded to my 9" Lightforces and slowly ordered the parts to fix the Daylighters for Katie.

First thing is to order part #4213 from KC. This is the new bulb/reflector housing that takes the *replaceable* H3 bulb. It's fairly inexpensive and much cheaper than just buying another pair of lights.

Optional: I ordered new rubber for the housing, new grommets, and clear light covers. I don't care for the wire rock guards and am terrified of having a glass lens exposed on the front end of a low suv.

New 100w H3 bulb. $4.88 at NAPA. Will eventually replace with HID 5000k

One wire for ground. Other wire for power. I taped them together to prevent them from getting unplugged inside by accident

I also ordered new rubber gaskets and metal retaining cups for the mounting base.

Total cost for all that stuff (x2) was about $30. Much cheaper than buying a new pair for $120+

    Great rebuild.
Clear light covers, that's the ticket.

Yeah, the stone guards don't do much against the smaller rocks and Katie didn't want to redneck her jeep lol.

Lol I'll be mounting them up this weekend, weather permitting.
The "redneck" was Katie, though I do think the clear covers look a lot more modern

^I concur. When I start driving my truck more I would like to get light covers for my LEDs to help keep them clean and protected from rock chips. light-weight insurance thats for sure.
