How to tell if Your Engine is original?

    I.was just.wonderin for anyone or someone like me with a high mileage truck, how can u tell if ur motor is still original?

    well my truck has been in my family since new...and i dont think my dad replaced the engine in the 4yrs before i drove it..

    See I dont know crap about mine before I owned.it so idk.

    Look at the engine harness to see if all the wires are clipped in where they should be, check firewall for scratches. Most bolts are marked with paint after they are torqued. you could see if they have been moved.

    Also check the vin. There should be a couple tags on the engine and frame that match the one on the dash.
