Because EVERYONE puts them on the bed now. When I had my ranger I put them on the bed then everyone started doing it. I think it looks better on the bigger trucks when it's on the fender. It's where the old guys put them when cb radios were big. Sent from my iThingy using Tapatalk
No not the first ha ha. I did the duals like 8 years ago onthe bed on my Mazda b4000 when everyone started doing it, now everyone does 4 foot whips on the bed or toolboxes. anyone wanna buy 2 4fters? theyre a little rough but work. ill also include the Y-splitter needed to hook up to the CB its like 20ft long. I need to get a 3fter and put it in the middle of my hood. lmao actually I wanna put a big whip in the middle of my toolbox..
theyre white...but im sure can be painted. the tops have hit low hanging trees, parking garages, low hanging walk ways and have been used as dueling swords in the bed of my truck...so theyre a little beat up. I can get some pics.. dont think ill get much for em..probably worth more as scrap..but if i can get like...25 for them and the Y cable ill take it. then buy it...make me an offer..
Round here all the kids with a lifted truck who think they're a badass do the dual whips on the bed. Plus duals dont get you any better reception than a single, it's just for looksies. Not bashing anyone's look, just my opinion ha ha It's like fedoras, it was kinda cool when 1 or 2 people started wearing them. Not like "wow that guys awesome" more like "that guy is wearing something no one else wears, more power to him" now it's like every hipsters wearing one.
