Did just as you guys said. Cut, Polish, wax. 99.9% better! Not bad for my first time with a cheap ass buffer. This was the bad fender, all kinds of surface blemishes from leaning into the engine compartment. I should have taken a before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's tough because it's not clear coated, even the finest towel leaves micro scratches. I need to get a nice base coat of wax on it. I had a friend over today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What do you mean it's not clear coated? All modern paints are clear coat. Could just be soft paint. Getcha some towels from The Rag Company. Go to the "Korean microfiber" section of the site, Korean towels are the best. Pick up some Eagle Edgeless for detailing stuff and a Platinum Pluffle or Edgeless Avalanche for drying. You'll be amazed how much better they are than anything you can buy locally. She looks great in the pic though, nice and shiny. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

My buddy, the guy with the red svt, said it was a single stage paint. He seemed pretty sure, he's a very reliable source for ford info. From what I looked up online ford started clear coat in 1990 on the mustang, but only with the metallic and two tones. I can't find anything on when they started on the regular colors. I can't find any other specifics on the paint other than several how tos on restoring single stage paint on early sn95s. But it doesn't specify if it's factory or aftermarket paint.
Wow. Had no idea Ford might've been using single stage paint that late in the game. Now I'm curious to know more. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
I could be wrong. I don't know paint ha ha. Do you know if there's a way to know for sure? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
