    I got an edge evolution for my 1998 4.6. and you can custom tune it but i dont wanna blow my truck up. does anyone have one or does anyone know what is the best set up

    If you don't know what the settings do or where they need to be, you need to leave well enough alone with the canned tunes.

    Put it on 93 performance canned then just start experimenting from there

    I changed all the shift firmness to the highest level, makes the truck fun!

    Run level 2 or 3 and put shifts to +7. You'll be good to go!

    run level 2 and you can just start playing with the settings. i got advice from someone on how he changed the settings for his truck and didn't like his settings. the truck was getting better mileage, like it was supposed to, but i didn't like how the tranny felt at like 30mph. going up hills it would kind of hesitate/slip almost so i just went back to the custom tunes that bill wrote me. no problems now and i have the shifts set at +1 but i'll see what going higher does since my 4.6 has the most power around 2500+rpms

    I've mainly seen people level 2 and changing shift firmness.

    thanks guys i did the shift firmness lastnight and changed the mph it shifts at when its wide open. i wasnt really clear with my question. i know what im doing i was just lookin for the best setup. the only thing im not to sure about is the timing adjustment. im going to leave it alone but does anyone know how it helps? or what to put it on to help
