I pretty much grew up in the Chevy world, and, I've just about everything else except ford until now.

I've always liked the way the Ford truck looked, just never spent time anywhere around them and really did know much. Now that I'm OLD, I know more folks with Fords. Still not a died in the wool blue oval fan, but it would be hard for me to say the I was ever a died in the wool fan of any brand.

The truck I'm currently looking at is a SuperDuty. It's not the chrome, tires, suspension or any of that other stuff thats got me looking (like I said, I'm old). I saw this:

I am a big fan of being able to drive anywhere in the country and enjoying the ride, this got my attention. And this is the type of enviroment I spend my time in

Yes, it may seem funny that someone coming out of a 505 HP Sports truck wouldn't look at the Raptor or getting into a Lightning (to small), however, the SuperDuty may be more to what I enjoy

    And the Research continues

My dad only drives fords, my mom drives chevy and dodge. I seen the best of all three worlds. But for me the fords seem more refined in some areas. The steering in my 07 f150 feels great. I drove my moms 2010 dodge ram. I like the power but not the steering. Its like it had no resistance but I think its because its electric. It didnt feel like I was actually driving. Heck the mustang has electric steering too but you could actually feel the resistance when turing the wheel.

plus this is what i learned over the years of fanboyism lol.. when you think a brand is a pos. They tend to not take care of the vehicle and change the fluids. Then when something breaks they blame the automaker or you get some fanboy with butthurt feelings posting on a forum about a truck they dont have and says all that has gone wrong with it. The big 3 makes great trucks and with a little care and maintence. they will go a long way.

The new Super Dutys are really nice. We had a 2012 with the 6.2 at work this summer and I put over 1500mi on it in just a couple months lol. Super comfortable and roomy, still got almost 16mpg highway. Doesn't sound like much, but all our other 250s with the 5.4 get closer to 12.

Exactly my thoughts on it too. My buddy's Chevy has over 200k on it and him and his dad treat it real well so they haven't had any major problems with it. However in some cases, it is the manufacturers fault as in the spark plug design on the 5.4L 3V in the f150 and Dodge's transmissions and dashs in the past. I'm sure I'm overlooking other companys faults but those are just a couple I thought of off the top of my head. It's just like how some like to get into it about iOS and Android. They both work great, it's just what the user wants

I love my 5.4 with its ****ty plugs lol. Reason why? Cause the 5.4 is a proven motor to last. Same goes for the 5.7 dodge, and the 5.3 Chevrolet. Cheverolet has piston slap, dodge has tranny complaints, and ford has sparkplug issue. lol

well for some reason (i don't know why) but my dad hates chevys. when i was growing up he had a 97 f250 7.3l powerstroke and that truck made it to hell and back and was still running perfectly and in mint condition when he sold it. it pulled cow trailers, the fifth wheel and travel trailer we used to have. a 25 gooseneck with about 13 round bales on it( around 16,000 lbs) and yet the transmission still shifted smooth as butter. never had any engine problems at all the 11 years he had it. i'm not too into dodge with the exception of a cummins. they're powerful trucks.

i just like Fords because its the original american truck. theres a reason ford says in their commercials "the best selling truck for 35 years"
