Broken stud on the exhaust manifold, cam phaser, loud injectors, etc

Rough idling (ignition), bad plugs, plug boots, or cops

Fuel filter or air filter could be full of dirt. To many things could go or be wrong

    Welcome back Heather.
Good to hear from ya again.

Maybe the CEL (check engine light) will come
on throwing a code that can help narrow
down the possibilities of what is wrong on the truck.

Lol whoa , good to know you guys missed me! :) I did use 5w-30 instead of 20 and like I said I added Lucas to it too, I thought that might have helped quiet the tick but not so much. I'm thinking a plug getting ready to go bad, or maybe a wire arching whenever he slows down? For whatever reason maybe they touch, causes an arch and then it miss fires, when he revs it up, the motion pulls the wires apart and it stops? For some reason I think I remember hearing that your spark plug wires should never touch. Irk, its been a while since I've worked on a vehicle or done any research so I'm feeling a little rusty.

I'm ashamed to say, but I've never changed a brake pad before, and today I'm gonna tackle the Volvo by myself. It seems simple from what I've read but is there anything I should know, tips or tricks? It's sounding pretty bad, and the rotor on drivers side is pretty torn up, that's will have to be replaced but at a later date, kinda broke at the moment lol

use the pad to push the cylinder back into the base. Don't let the caliper hang by the brake line
