I’m sure this has been a thread before but I’ve been unable to find one. I have a 1990 F150 with 4.9 straight 6 manual trans. Truck has all new injectors, plugs, wires, distro cap, rotor, coil, and ICM. Starts and runs/drives like a new truck but randomly starts bucking and trying to die between 1800 and 2000 rpms. I can shut it off and immediately start it back up and go on with no issues. Sometimes it does it a mile down the road, sometimes it won’t do it until I’ve driven for an hour or more. I’ve been driving it in circles trying to find a pattern or to figure out how to recreate the problem but I’ve found none. It always seems random. TPS tests good with a multimeter & the ICM has tested good multiple times on a machine. I had thought maybe PIP is going but that doesn’t seem right to me due to being able to start back up and drive fine with no cool down period. I do have a continuous memory code for “SPOUT” circuit but have no idea how to go about testing anything in that system or even what it is honestly only that it can sometimes be thrown due to PIP or ICM. Any advice on how I can diagnose the issue is appreciated, I don’t wanna throw parts at it but I’m running out of ideas. My only other codes are for EGR and O2 sensor but I’ve had those codes for almost 7 years due to the exhaust set up and they never caused an issue before. Only the SPOUT code is new. Thanks in advance
