    Hey Folks,

I just made a deal to buy my first F250, its a 2001 long bed 4x4 with the 7.3l Powerstroke and a 5 speed manny... I pick it up on Monday from the old guy who bought it new. He has a pile of paperwork of every oilchange and sniffle the rig has had. He said it was his working rig for his tile company, and is now retiring. It has 280k miles on her, but I walked away only $4500 lighter. I did the easy blowby check, and it didnt unseat the cap from the the oilfill at a warm idle, and the clutch seems pretty strong. Anything else I should focus on as I go through her on Monday at pickup?

5 speed manual, naw nothing you should really look out for other than the regular hiccups of a high mileage diesel. The auto tranny is usually the weakpoint, but since you be playin with the big black stick that shouldnt be an issue, just the clutch.

I thought so, the seat looks like it was eaten by an angry walrus, and one minor ding in the rear fender. I will post some pics when I pick it up on Monday. Heh the wife's response was "dammit" ha Im pretty deep in upgrading my Expedition, and now I have two toys... going to get a little skitzo around here. I do need to find a good front seat... any ideas on aftermarkets, or am I better off going for a junkyard replacement?

Dude, is that an OU tag on there???

... I went to school there... Crazy nights on chautauqua St.

I think some Captain seats would be nice, but good call on the Lariat seats.

I mean EATEN... big 'ol chunk of the front corner is gone... frame stickin out... guess the old man got in and out of her for 11 years with a tool belt on... gotta put some stuffin in there, he had a pillow jammed in the crater! hmm just keep thinking... $4500... then I smile! He wasn't much on appearances.. had all sorts of crap in the cab, but mechanically he had it to the day when what was done, and receipts.. said it was all write offs so he had good records from that.
