simple, 2 wheel drives are lower than 4x4's so you lift them to increase clearance so you don't need 4 wheel drive. 50% of getting stuck is not having enough clearance because you high center or drag on the front crossmember the other 50% is just not getting traction because of tires or lack of torque and power. If you know what you're doing while you mud you should make it fine. another part of getting stuck is just unfamiliar with the terrain or "mud hole" if you know the good and bad parts of the mudding spot you'll know when to get on the gas and when you can crawl through. and i'm with stugraham...if you're gonna lower it get a car ....or a chebby

... aw come on now let's not turn this into a lifted 2wd vs. a lowered 2wd thread.. theres no point in telling somebody what to and what not to do to their truck

were not saying what to do... just our preference... personally a lowered truck is USELESS to me... i like to actually be able to use my truck AS a truck haha :)

and theres those of us who inherited our trucks and we cant just go out and get another truck with 4x4. and many of us just dont need 4x4. like me. i live in the south...when i need 4x4 is when i am somewhere where i shouldnt be lol. and a locker and good MTs will go just about everywhere a 4x could..unless its rock crawling or driving thru lakes lol

You're 17, how long have you been driving to the point of wanting to slap someone for lowering a truck??? I suppose you can slap me then big boy... :flipthebird:

My phuckin truck is as useful as it was when it was a 2WD, so this whole "useless" bullsh*t is retarded.

There's always some jackass on EVERY truck forum that spouts off the same old bullsh*t about lowered trucks this, lowered trucks that. Keep it to yourself, as I will about a lifted 2WD...
