Ok I have been wanting to lift my truck sence i bought it but my parents wont let me yet. So i was thinking prom season is coming up. And i thought if I could come up with $6000 by then i should be able to get my lift and tires. I ran this idea acrost my parents last night so they haven't really thought about it yet. but i just wanted to know what you all thought about it.

you never know when you're gonna have a "rainy day", they are just teaching you to be responsible

and you have to run it by your parents when you live under their roof and still in high school, i know how that goes, but since i've started college i just do what i want and respect my parents

I agree with the others. Most of us are older and understand what your parents are trying to tell you. If that's all the money you have, save it. If you aren't going to be flat broke from spending that kind of money, then go for it. I don't see where a lift, wheels and tires are gonna cost 6000 dollars. Everyone one here finds all kinds of deals. Search around. You don't have to have the best name brand stuff all the time.

Say you done a 3" body lift , thats $250 .... ok then a set of nice wheels eh around 600-700 .... ok then some new 35s eh around 1200....

thats $2150 ..... leaves you with $3850 for other stuff .....

just talk to yer parents and talk them into it ......

i still have 4000 on my truck loan and then the other 2000 on lift and tires

i don't really want a body lift i would rather have a suspension lift of 6 inches with 35 inch tires that well be big enough for me

no i don't have a fancy phone like that. and why??

You didn't say you were including the remaining truck loan. You only said you wanted to spend 6k on a lift...
